Sirr
A private messenger. What you write is encrypted on your phone and can be read only by the people you write to.
Not available yet
Sirr is being built and tested. It is not in any app store yet. When it opens, it will start invite-only.
Privacy, in short
- End-to-end encrypted. Messages, pictures and profiles are encrypted on your phone with the Signal Protocol. Our server passes them on and cannot read them.
- No phone number. You join with an invite and choose a username.
- The server learns as little as we could make it. Messages between friends are delivered without telling the server who sent them, and they are deleted from it once your phone has collected them.
- Notifications without Google, if you want. Waking your phone through Google is off unless you turn it on. If you do, Google can tell that your phone has Sirr and when it is woken, never what a message says, who sent it or which conversation it belongs to. Without Google, Sirr checks for messages about every 15 minutes, sometimes later when your phone is idle, hot or in battery saver.
- This website has no analytics, no trackers and no cookies, and loads nothing from anyone else.
Open source
Sirr's source code will be published here when the app opens.
